Please include a large SAE with your postal entry form.

Online entries will receive an email confirmation of entry. Encashment of cheques will confirm postal entries.
All race numbers will be posted to competitors approximately two weeks prior to race day. Any later entries must collect their numbers by 10.30am from Registration.
We regret that we'll be unable to guarantee T Shirt sizes for entries received in the last two weeks prior to the race.
Entries will be accepted up until 10.15am on Race Day only if the race limit of 500 is not reached.
Registration will close at 10.45am.

Warm Up?
Those nice chaps from British Military Fitness are supporting The Beast this year. They'll be getting you going in a pre race warm up at the Start area at 10.30am. British Military Fitness are also providing a surprise obstacle for you! Knowing what a lovely, kind hearted bunch they are, we're sure it'll be something warm and fuzzy like kitten chasing or flower arranging.

Pre Race Briefing?
There'll be a Pre Race Briefing for ALL competitors at 10.45am at the start area to warn you of any additional hazards.

Parking?
There'll be on site parking for all competitors and spectators.

Drinks?
There'll be drinks stations halfway round, at the start of the Double lap and at the finish providing High 5 sports drinks and water.

First Aid?
Belvoir First Aid will take care of you.

Photographers?
The team from Runner Photos are the official photographers for The Beast, they'll be at the Start, around the course and at the Finish, so smile nicely! You'll be able to view and buy any images at
www.runner-photos.co.uk with Runner Photos very kindly donating £1 from every photo sold to our chosen charity, the DLRAA.

Shopping?
For all you shopaholics there'll be a few stands to keep you happy. Up and Running will be on site with a selection from their range at discounted prices. New for 2010 we will have a limited custom edition of The Beast Original Buffs for sale! If you're new to the wonders of the Buff have a look at www.buffwear.co.uk. We love these simple, versatile pieces of kit. The Beast Buffs will be priced at £14 with £1 from every Buff sold being donated to the DLRAA, our chosen charity.

Refreshments?

There'll be a number of catering options available on the day, including veggie options. These will be onsite from approximately 8.00am to provide breakfast for any runners arriving early. There'll also be a Beer Tent provided by Belvoir Brewery.

Spectators?
Since last year's race we've tried to work out ways for the spectators to view more of the course and cheer on their runners. Unfortunately due to the nature of the course, Emergency vehicle access and the fact that the surrounding land is privately owned (we only hire the actual course) we are unable to allow spectators onto The Beast course. Please respect the marshals, the landowners and the course markings and remain behind the barriers at all times.

Goody Bag?
Every competitor (whether they quit or not!) will receive a goody bag filled with lovely stuff including The Beast T Shirt.

Prizes?
The first, second and third male and female runners to complete 1 lap (quit) and the first, second and third male and female runners to complete 2 laps (double) will receive a prize. There'll be lots of spot prizes too!

Toilets?
Tackling The Beast may seem a little daunting, but don't despair, there'll be toilets at the start/finish area and approximately halfway round the course. Please respect the surroundings of Aylesford Farm and use the loos provided.

Showers?
There's a 'Field Shower' available to competitors in the car park. Okay, it's a hosepipe.

Footwear?
We advise the wearing of trail or fell shoes, however if you enjoy crawling up hills and sliding down them, road shoes will be just fine.

Charity?
The Beast is supporting the Derbyshire Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance (DLRAA). If you'd like to raise funds for this very worthy cause please download an official sponsorship form HERE and pester your friends and family for sponsors. DLRAA will be providing collectors on race day so please remember to bring some loose change!

Got any questions?

Drop us an email at thebeast@purepersonaltraining.co.uk or give us a call on 0800 2987376.

Finally, we all love a dirty weekend but a word of caution, please DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TAME THE BEAST if you're feeling unwell or have an injury. You can always try again next year.

We regret that having entered The Beast, we will not be able to provide any refund, transfer or credit either in part or in full, whatever the circumstances of the entrants' non-attendance.

On Race Day Remember...
To pick up your race number from Registration if you haven't already received it by post. Please bring your own safety pins x 4, but we'll have spares if you forget.

To bring a complete change of warm clothing (and we do mean complete), you will get muddy and wet. Think warm, not stylish; the fashion police will not be in attendance.

To bring a bin liner to put your race outfit in afterwards.

To bring some cash for a cheeky beer and some lovely food afterwards.

To avoid pre race cheeky beers, including the night before.

To eat some breakfast on Race Day.

To bring gloves, you'll be 'hands on' with some of the obstacles.

It's okay if you forget your sense of humour 'cos the Race Director and all the lovely Marshals will have plenty!
